You must tell us when your child is born.
It's your responsibility to tell us about your new child. You must tell us within 12 weeks of your expected due date to make sure you get your correct NHS Healthy Start payments.
If you're receiving Universal Credit, you must add your child's details to your existing claim.
You must also make sure your child is named and verified on your Universal Credit award.
If you receive any other benefit, you must send us a copy of your child’s birth certificate.
