External courses
Courses that meet the scope and eligibility criteria will be eligible for claims.
The course or training must finish before December 2026 to be eligible for a claim.

Claims cannot be made for course repeats.
Courses and qualifications taken as part of an apprenticeship are not eligible.
Any pre-conditions of enrolment for courses and qualifications are set out by awarding organisations and training providers. We cannot advise on this, you must contact the training provider with any queries.
Internal training by organisation
Internal training is eligible for reimbursement. This was agreed by the Department for Health and Social care in February 2025.
Organisations can submit a claim, providing it's for one of the eligible courses or qualifications listed, but delivered internally. They must provide the same evidence for the claim.
Claims for eligible training courses and qualifications delivered internally are subject to the same timeframe requirements as for those delivered by an external provider. This applies to courses and qualifications started and paid for on or after 1 April 2024.
