The quality assurance service was developed to review the quality of individual courses and qualifications delivered by training providers.
This will help Adult Social Care providers to easily identify high quality learning and development opportunities. They'll also be able to trust that courses and qualifications funded by the government will meet their needs.
This service is provided by Skills for Care.
Guidance on how training providers can use the Quality Assurance service is on the Skills for Care website.
How the quality assurance service will impact the Learning and Development Support Scheme
Employers are currently able to claim for eligible courses and qualifications delivered by any training providers, no matter what their quality assurance status.
In the future, courses eligible for claims may be limited to only those that have been quality assured.
This will be a significant change for the sector and will take time to achieve, so this change will be rolled out in phases.
