When your original application is assessed we will calculate funding based on a whole academic year and start making any payment you are due. However, if you have a temporary immigration status we will place a hold on any payments being made after your immigration status has expired as you would no longer be eligible for funding unless your status is extended.

If your immigration status has been extended by the UK Border Agency (UKBA), you will need to provide evidence of this along with a covering letter explaining your status has changed in order to receive any payments after the expiry date of your original immigration status.

Any payments that had been held while we were waiting for this information will resume within 25 working days of us receiving the relevant evidence.
