If your application for ill health is rejected by the Scheme's medical advisers you, your employer if applicable and ourselves will be notified of this decision.

To appeal against the decision you will need to complete the Internal Dispute Resolution DRP1 form and send it to us with any further medical evidence that you wish to be considered in support of your dispute.

Note: If you appeal through the Stage 1 Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) and this is rejected, you are entitled to have your case looked at a second time if you are dissatisfied with the review decision. If you want to do this, you should write to us within six months of the stage 1 IDR being rejected.

The second review will be carried out by a disputes manager who will reply within two months or tell you if they are unable to do so.
