Can I get help with my NHS health costs if I’m pregnant or have given birth in the last 12 months?

If you're pregnant or have given birth in the last 12 months you're entitled to free NHS prescriptions if you have a valid maternity exemption certificate. 

You're also entitled to free NHS dental treatment if you're pregnant or have given birth up to 12 months before starting the course of treatment.

You may be able to get more help if you or your partner are getting a qualifying benefit or exemption.

If you’re not covered by a benefit or exemption, you can apply for help through the NHS Low Income Scheme by completing an HC1 application.
