You must register for a MyFunding account. You must apply through your account and upload any requested evidence.
You’ll receive the outcome of your application by email within 20 working days.
You can check your account for any updates.
The application must be completed for each of your Social Work Bursary funded academic years.
Placement Travel Allowance (PTA)
If you've been allocated a capped bursary place and are awarded a bursary, the PTA contribution amount will be included within your basic bursary.
You can still get the PTA if you've not been allocated a capped place. You must complete the main bursary application so we can assess you for it.
Additional bursary elements
If you’re a postgraduate student you can apply for additional elements.
You can still get PTA if you know you do not have a capped place by applying for the main bursary. You do not need to apply for any of the other additional bursary elements.
If you withdraw from course before applying
You cannot apply for the Social Work Bursary if you withdrew from your course before applying.
To be eligible for the bursary, you have to be entering or already studying on a recognised social work course. If you’ve withdrawn from the course, you do not meet this eligibility.
