Provisional NOA
You’ll receive a provisional award once we've assessed your application. This will advise the amount you’ll receive if you’re allocated a capped place.
Once we've processed a university's capping list, we'll send an email to all students who have been assessed and allocated a capped place. This email will advise them they've been nominated and that their provisional award will be correct if they attend their course and their circumstances do not change.
Postgraduate students only
We provisionally assess your entitlement if your award has been based on estimated income.
The first two instalments can be paid to you based on this estimate. We'll hold your third instalment until we've received and processed evidence of income.
If you've been assessed provisionally your NOA will confirm this and advise what evidence we need.
Final NOA
Once we've processed a university's attendance list, a final NOA will be issued to all students who have been processed confirming their bursary or PTA only award.
You can download and print a copy of your NOA at any time by going to the 'Enrolments' section of your account.
The NOA will show Placement Travel Allowance (PTA) and Basic Grant.
If you've been given a capped place, the PTA is paid as part of the Basic Grant for term 1.
