You can call our automated service on 0118 338 5810 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Select option one to activate your card.
You'll be asked for your:
- 16-digit card number
- date of birth
- 10-digit client ID - this is on the letter your prepaid card came with
You must activate your NHS Healthy Start card before it can be used.
PIN number
Your PIN will be sent to you by text message if you gave your mobile number on your application.
If you did not give your mobile number, we'll post your PIN 2 days after we've sent your prepaid card.
If you've received a replacement NHS Healthy Start prepaid card, it will have a new PIN.
Once you've activated your card, select the option to 'retrieve your PIN' on our automated service.
