If you do not have a TRS or annual benefit statement (ABS), you can request an estimate from NHS Pensions.
TRS
If you’re a dental practitioner, your TRS will show a year behind. It may be updated if a mid-year refresh is done in December.
You can view your TRS on Electronic Staff Record (ESR).
Your TRS:
- can be viewed online at any time
- is free of charge
- is a faster and more convenient way for you to view information about your NHS pension
- is refreshed annually in August based on information supplied by your employer

Once you’ve registered for My NHS Pension, login to view your pension details by selecting ‘Benefits Dashboard’ and the ‘Current retirement benefits’ page.
